Three Free Summer Incentive Program
We think nothing should stand between people and discovery. That's why we created the Three Free program. Available during the Summer 2013 session, SIU will waive the tuition for a single on-campus course (three credit hours) if you meet a few simple requirements:
- you’re a new, first-time undergraduate student
- you’ve earned a minimum ACT composite score of 24 (or SAT equivalent)
- you’re a resident of southern Illinois*
This is your chance to study at a nationally ranked research university and begin exploring everything SIU has to offer.

*We define southern Illinois as Alexander, Bond, Clay, Clinton, Crawford, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Richland, Randolph, Saline, St. Clair, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, and Williamson counties for the purpose of the Three Free program.
